Classified Description

Here’s a wonderful Victorian antique find, an American Eastlake Platform Rocker from the 1860’s to 1890’s. The chair is crafted of solid walnut and has amazing detailing. The seat, armrests and backrest still have the original needlepoint upholstery, in very good condition. There are also amazing accents in the wood trim, with stick and ball detailing and a rope twist on the top of the backrest.

The chair is constructed of the platform rocker design, where the seat and base are attached with strong springs. (See photos)

Overall the chair is in excellent condition, and would be an amazing Victorian antique accent piece to highlight in any room. It is ready for use or display.
