If there is one thing that is more stressful than buying a home, it is the process accompanied by it. Hence the reason for the tips and advice galore by the new home buyers. While it is so nice of them to give advice, it is not always very helpful.
The reason is the real-estate market is fluid and hence changes all the time. It doesn’t matter how great a tip can be at a point of time, it can go out-dated eventually. Here are some of that worn-out advice that people give when buying a home.
WAIT UNTIL IT IS PEAK SEASON
SPRING!! It is the peak season for real-estate buying and selling. While there is an advantage like more openings, there is also a disadvantage – MORE COMPETITION. Hence the sellers are very less willing to negotiate. When you find a perfect home of your choice, then weather should not be a determining factor for sealing the deal.
WAITING FOR THE PRICES TO FALL
If you are searching for a home in an area which is a bit of a seller’s market, then you would have heard this advice – “Wait for the Price to Fall Down!”. When the House prices are high so are the rental prices. While waiting for the selling rate to settle down a bit, you are paying loads of money as rent.
